GOOD TO KNOW

Frequently asked questions

Treatment suitability is personal. Your consultation is the right place to discuss medical history and procedure-specific concerns

How many sessions will I need?
The number of sessions varies depending on the service, treatment area, skin characteristics, existing scar tissue, pigment retention, and your desired result. Permanent makeup commonly requires an initial session followed by a perfecting session, while services such as scalp micropigmentation, scar and stretch-mark camouflage, and restorative pigmentation may require multiple sessions. Your recommended treatment plan will be discussed during your consultation.
When can mature scars be treated?
Scar tissue should be fully healed and stable before paramedical pigmentation or camouflage is considered. In many cases, this means waiting approximately 12 months or longer, although healing time varies depending on the scar, surgery or injury, and the individual. Raised, irritated, changing, or incompletely healed scars may not be appropriate for treatment. When necessary, we may request clearance from your healthcare provider before proceeding.
Can I receive treatment during an active breakout?
Generally, no. We do not perform pigmentation or permanent makeup procedures over skin that is actively inflamed, irritated, infected, broken, or experiencing an active breakout. Your appointment may need to be postponed until the area has healed. During your consultation, we can evaluate the treatment area and discuss when it may be appropriate to proceed.
Are results guaranteed?
No. Every person’s skin, healing response, pigment retention, scar tissue, lifestyle, and aftercare are different, so specific results cannot be guaranteed. Our goal is to achieve the best possible outcome through careful assessment, customized treatment planning, professional pigmentation techniques, and appropriate aftercare. Multiple sessions, color adjustments, or future maintenance may be necessary.
